Submission Guidelines

Article Types & Length

  • Research Articles (8,000–10,000 words): original empirical or theoretical work that advances integrative frameworks.

  • Book Reviews (500–1,500 words per review).
    Word counts include references, notes, and appendices unless otherwise agreed.

References & Citation Style

  • Style: Please follow APA (7th edition) only for references and citation.
    The journal follows the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition for all in-text citations and reference lists. Authors should ensure that every source cited in the text is included in the reference list, and every reference listed is cited in the text. APA style is required only for references and citations. All other formatting aspects (headings, emphasis, layout, etc.) will adhere to the journal’s in-house style guidelines.

Ethics, Integrity, and Disclosure

  • Human/Animal Research: Confirm IRB/ethics approval (or exemption) and informed consent where applicable.

  • Conflicts of Interest & Funding: Disclose all potential conflicts and funding sources.

  • AI Use: Disclose any generative-AI assistance (writing, analysis, figure creation) and ensure authors remain accountable for content and citations.

  • Preprints: Posting to reputable preprint servers is allowed; upon acceptance, update with citation and link to the version of record.

Review Process

  • Editorial screening for fit and quality is followed by double-blind peer review (typically two or more expert reviewers). Decisions may be Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Revised submissions should include a detailed response to reviewers.

Practical Details

  • Submission: Use the journal’s online portal (account required).

  • ORCID: Corresponding authors must provide an ORCID iD; co-authors are strongly encouraged to do so.

  • Permissions: Authors are responsible for securing permissions for third-party content prior to acceptance.

  • Post-Acceptance: All articles receive a DOI and are archived in perpetuity; authors review proofs for typographical accuracy only.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Anonymization: Double-blind review. Remove author names/affiliations and self-identifying statements from the manuscript and file properties.

  • Format: 12-pt, double-spaced for review with page numbers and standard margins; submit as .docx or LaTeX (with compiled PDF and source). Single spacing will be applied in production after acceptance.

  • Abstract & Keywords: A structured abstract (150–250 words) that clearly states the purpose, approach, results/claims, and implications; 5–8 keywords.

  • Headings & Figures: Use clear heading levels. Supply figures/tables with descriptive captions; submit figures as separate high-resolution files (≥300 dpi for images; vector formats preferred for line art).

  • Equations & Code: Typeset equations; number displayed equations consecutively. Provide well-documented code in a public repository when feasible and cite it.

  • Data & Materials: Share data, materials, and preregistrations in recognized repositories when possible; include a Data/Code Availability statement.
